What the Job Actually Includes
Most childcare work in these towns is found the hard way: chasing listings, vetting families yourself, negotiating your own rate, and absorbing the quiet weeks alone.
For a full-time nanny job, the family hires you and you work for them, with the rate agreed before you start. For sitting, backup, and event shifts you are our employee, so taxes come out before you are paid and we carry the insurance.
You meet your first family already prepared, and training carries on after you start.
Full-time placements, regular part-time hours, evenings and weekends, or event work. Plenty of caregivers mix them.
When a day goes differently than planned, there is an office behind you rather than a phone number you found online.

When a family needs a full-time nanny, we advertise and recruit for that one role.
You can apply for a placement you have actually read about, rather than joining a list and waiting for something to come up.
Training happens before your first placement and continues afterwards. It is paid, and it is the reason families meet caregivers who are ready rather than caregivers who are willing.
